Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a template letter I can use to send to companies that I know I had cards, loans with, but am not sure whether I had PPI.
Thank you

Don't need a template, if you don't want to ring just write something like
Dear Sir/Madam
Please can you advise if there was a PPI policy on the product I had with you below
Account number
Regards
If you don't know the account number, try and provide as much info as you can to help them locate you - address at the time, name at the time (e.g. if you got married and changed your name), date of birth etc
You may need to spend £10 on each provider for a DSAR to request all the date they still hold on you if the front line team can't see any current recordsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
