Dumpling you are not a terrible parent. You are a loving caring mum. OK!?
Gers have a good weekend with your visitor.
TA I'm glad things went as well as could be yesterday. I have to say I often feel exhausted reading your posts as you are always so busy especially looking after your grand children and running them here and there, and ongoing hospital appointments for MrTA. As much as you love them all, I do hope you get plenty of time for you too
Tru Look on the bright side...with hubby being at home, HE can do all those jobs that need doing and you can supervise from the sofa
Morning all.
I've been AWOL for a couple of days...been quite busy and just not got around to posting though I have been reading.
Nothing of note going on here apart from trying to keep my sanity whilst my neighbours continue to make a dreadful racket day in day out...my stress levels are through the roof and relaxing isn't possible. Thankfully they have just gone out so I have a few moments peace and quiet..but remain on edge, dreading their return
I need to go to the supermarket today as the cupboards are quite bare. I'm very short of funds till next pay day(I've had some big bills this month) so I can't afford to do a big shop..i will just buy some bits to see me through.
Have a good day and take care all'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Morning all x
Not been posting for a while. Had nasty headaches and been unable to focus right. Had an episode on Tuesday when I ventured to the market for veg. Leg was feeling dodgy so I got the bus and on the way back when I went to stand up my left leg had gone numb. I had to laugh (didn't want to cry) and it was a good job that I knew the bus driver as he helped me off the bus with my trolley full of veg. Looked a right idiot dragging my leg behind me as I hobbled home. Made me think though what else is gonna happen. Be glad when doc gives me the results of all these damn tests he has done.
Anyhoo feeling more like me today with just a few niggles so taking advantage of it and doing some baking with my DGD this afternoon. Making cupcakes and cookies. Need to make the cookie dough and put it in the fridge soon so it is ready for when she wants to roll and cut it out.
Dinner tonight will be whatever DH wants as it's cheat night so a takeaway.
Best get this dough done so take care all.
Hugs to all in need xxBright Blessings xx0 -
Dumpling bad parents don't care. Your not a bad parent.
I'm waiting for Prodigal to turn up to be fed. I need to measure him for some new clothes. We need to have a little chat too.
Spent part of yesterday looking at cars again for hubby. He's decided his 'retirement' car, although is lovely is too big, too expensive and too hard to park when hes got a dodgy shoulder.
I told him all this when he bought the thing but he never listens.
Sick of hearing him ask every month if the council tax has to be paid this month (its paid in 10 monthly instalments) ive changed it to 12 monthly instalments instead. I didn't tell him, but he's noted the change. An increase in £35 a year. I suppose it could be worse. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Dumpling I think you are an amazing lady who fights every inch for her children despite not having the best of health yourself, never put yourself down we have all 'seen' how you have struggled with your demons and got through, so be proud that you are one supermum, and pat yourself on the back (if possible
)
Its dry here but so cold and a nasty wind is blowing. I'm off to History this afternoon, and no doubt a delicious cake from our lovely tutor. She makes the most gorgous cakes for us all on a Friday, very naughty ,but nice.
Have a good evening chums

You are all so lovely, thank you xxxx
I've made myself an appointment to see my gp as I am struggling. I don't know if there is anything he can do to help me but at least he will know I am finding things difficult at the moment, and a trouble shared is a trouble halved.
No news yet on my friend so fingers crossed it is all going smoothly.0 -
Just on to reiterate what others have said. Dumpling you are a wonderful, supportive parent. You do so much for your girls xx Please don't be so hard on yourself.
