Kind of agree lol - but I do think so many buyers have completely unrealistic timescales in mind (as do developers!).

    Jx

Not in this case as timescales were communicated at the beginning of February. I should have been alerted at the first sign of issues or non information leading to potential delay, therefore managing my expectations.

Anyways the solicitor is now satisfied and submitted form 1 to HTB and agrees the timescale is achievable. She originally stated it takes 5 days for form to be processed and a further week for form 2. It is only when I got in touch with HTB did they concede that form 1 was 3 days and form 2 turned around in 2 days and that it was infact possible. I appreciate that they are busy but its a case of who shouts loudest unfortunately and the clued up clients will always win over those who remain quiet.

What makes you think you're likely to lose the house if this deadline isn't met?

It was a ploy to push the solicitor, only when I deployed them tactics did they move to exchange and complete by 31st March. If I listened to their advice I wouldn't be in for weeks!

Shame I had to resort to this but guess only those who are clued up can progress things quicker or they end up bottom of the pile of priorities.
