Boiler mechanic, technician, heating engineer, it is all much the same really as a quick Google search confirms. Not sure why anyone feels the need to correct nomenclature of this sort, but if it makes you feel better, by all means?0 -
a slight difference between a sensitive printed circuit board and brake pads. Like I said eBay good for most things but I wouldn't chance a pcb from there, not saying your wrong or they would get supplied a iffy one but my opinion is I wouldn't.
+1 I bought a board from ebay, turned up in an opened anti - static bag, turned out to be faulty.
To the OP try google plenty of places supply reputable refurbed boards with a guarantee.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -
Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone (especially Alex1983 and Lorian) for their advice. The boiler is working again! I was able to source the two replacement parts cheaply (also needed to change the gas valve). With the hours of work, it ended up costing a bit over £200. With any luck the boiler will keep going for another year or two, so I can save for a proper replacement.
Thanks again! And happy Easter!0
