if you are really trying to be frugal you don't actually "need" shower gel or bubble bath. You have soap and it will wash you in the shower or in the bath. If you have aftershave, you could use it and swap your body spray for deodorant. Have you tried those cheap razors? They may not suit your skin or beard. I'm not using them, just been listening to males.

OK I take your point, i'm trying to be frugal to a point, but not the extreme, saving money is important to me, well it has to be, I have no choice, but I like bubble bath and I like the aroma, it relaxes me and relaxation is vitally important to me, its not just the money. Whenever i've had a shower i've always used shower gel, might switch to soap, actually i'm struggling to have a shower because I rent and the landlord has left the shower/bath in a mess. I'm fine with the razors, I like them, there are cheaper, there are better but personally i'm ok with them for the price.

For a number of years i've had personal hygiene issues, let myself go, nothing serious, but i've let myself go at certain times. So spending a bit on say the body spray and things like that well its good thing, not just about the money.

I meant an online shop with delivery from Wilkinsons.

Are you planning on eating fresh food? Because one shop every two weeks might mean it runs out/goes off before you can use it. A smaller shop three times a month might be more practical, especially with a delivery saver at £5 a month.

I want to keep it simple just for now, bed an initial budget in, I didn't know Wilkinsons did delivery, might consider it at later point.

Actually re fresh food a good point, I use tinned fruit (grapefruit, pears, satsumers) and i'll come to that, initially i'm going to go with tinned fruit, but its probably expensive, very convenient but probably expensive. I don't know how expensive, I buy it simple for convenience

I can pick up fresh food (fruit) at Waitrose down the road, same with milk and bread. I just don't want to main shop there.

Can live with that, what do I do? bit of mystery to me this, I sort of know what you're doing, but in terms of actually doing it myself wouldn't have a clue.

Your single shopping list for household goods is probably my annual list - and I'd still remove a few items.

Those dusters, say ... you buy a pack of dusters and they last YEARS.
I agree, but pragmatically I feel well-disposed to anyone that errs on the side of hygiene.

The dusters will probably last me for years, there will be 'drop off' but again thats a good thing, ever two weeks i'll look what i've got in cupboard and 'drop off', i'm sort of throwing everything at it to come to a maximum spend i'm comfortable with and is in line with (or less than) my master budget (which i'll reveal). Then any 'drop off' well its all good, might in that shop then buy a few 'luxuries', partial to a packet of pom bears.

Very, very good I think I can even I can cope with that, saved £3.93 on my last shop (first online), but that was a £70 shop, again my first shop at Asda online, a three week shop and I bought a number of household items and over stocked.

    Many thanks for that.

Use mysupermarket.com because even if you stay with ASDA there are savings suggestions within the basket of goods. In Savings Options where you can swap your items to making savings.
  • If you have health problems then it really wouldn't be a good idea to spend so little on food.

It is not possible to eat a healthy, well balanced diet on £10 a week and a good diet will go a long way to keeping you in tip top health, both body and mind.
