Such a fab idea, long overdue. Question is what if the delivery office say the item isn't there when I go?
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

All of my parcels sent via click and drop on a business account now have delivery confirmation.

Great so on his first message why didn't he just tell me it was at the delivery office or wherever it was? the receipt says 2nd class parcel on it, can't see a tracking number unless there is another receipt for that.

The 2D tracking is a red herring here. I only mentioned it because you stated the seller said it was at the delivery office so I enquiried as to whether he MIGHT have used 2D.

Then you said he had phoned the DO. Perhaps he did or perhaps he's lying. Perhaps he hadn't phoned them before his first message and then phoned them afterwards.

Forget about the 2D tracking I now don't think it's relevant here.

Report him to the police? For what? being rude?
    That seems a tad dramatic.

I'm what way was he threatening?

Regardless of the method or tracking used and how rude the seller is, it makes sense just to check the DO. The postman could have easily knocked the wrong door and left a card in that wrong house (or not as the case may be) and taken the parcel to the DO. Things don't just disappear into thin air do they?

    It has been known!
As far as this transaction goes if I was the buyer I'd be less inclined to check if the seller was an idiot and abusive at my first contact. As a seller if I think there's a possibility a missing parcel is at a delivery office I would ask the buyer if they wouldn't mind checking as it might be quicker for them to do it than me. I also know that if I'm nasty to the buyer there's every chance they'll end up with the item and a refund.
There's a simple rule that I follow, if you're a seller be nice to your customers. If they don't allow you to be nice to them, refund and move on.

After all this time just report to Amazon as not received.

Yes, that's all well and good, but just consider this scenario.
The postman doesn't bother to leave a card and we all know that happens for whatever reason. The item sits on the shelf at the DO.
The customer as far as they are concerned paid for delivery within given time and needs the item. They often take this out on the seller.
At this point, the seller hasn't done anything wrong and it's often the buyer who is irate and unprofessional with the seller. The frustration in this case should be directed at Royal Mail. But I'm not saying the seller should be aggressive to the buyer, but I'm stating it's nearly always the other way round in my cases.

I understand what you mean, but I was always polite and I have actually ignored him after his second message as he was just aggressive and it was getting nowhere. I have been dealing with Amazon directly.
