Finding my Mortgage Lender

Options
Hi
I bought a Barrett Home in the 80's and the sales person arranged everything including applying for the mortgage. I am totally lost here and have tried to research Barrett's to find any financial company connection reference mortgages.
Is there anyone who could put me in the right direction please?
TIA

Given your other post I believe you're looking into complaining about PPI - unless Barrett Homes were regulated at the time then they could also dismiss the complaint as pre-regulation. You may also have paid things that weren't PPI like life insurance or MIG which you most likely can't complain about

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

nd have tried to research Barrett's to find any financial company connection reference mortgages.

Back then they used local agents in the area of the development. Those agents could place mortgages where they liked (just as mortgage brokers do today).

    Forget it.
You dont know the lender. You dont know the broker. You dont even know if you had PPI let alone if it was mis-sold (and the era you are talking about would be rare on MPPI). And the broker woudlnt have to consider a complaint anyway because its over 20 years prior to regulation.
