    Yes, p00hsticks that's how I read it. I can't see how subprime cards are going to help the OP who doesn't really need extra credit, but is looking to lower the cost of her existing credit.

    OP: do you have a partner/good friend who could apply for a 0% purchases card? They could then add you as an additional cardholder. You could then operate the account as if it's yours.

    Of course, if the partner/good friend came on here, posters might say "don't do it" because they would become liable for your transactions. But we're advising you not them. Bear in mind that if you go this route you wouldn't get s75 protection (except in convoluted cases) or have any positive credit history resulting from running it well.

    Aqua card to credit cards for poor credit scorers. Not sure if you'll get it if unemployed. It currently has a 4 month 0% interest, so you can transfer how much you think you'll pay off in 4 months onto the card, then after 4 months pay the remaining balance off.

    i've got a number of credit cards now, i applied for them when i was a student doing my degree, or now i have finished, and am unemployed. my wife is earning. and i now have a platinum barclaycard, with a limit of £1700. i was a homemaker, at the time i applied for that one. Even though my wife and daughter are now thinking about moving out, for a trial separation...
