Hi
Can someone please assist with finding the an address for one to complain to, as the on-line company from which the appliance was purchased from, refuse to answer any emails.
The kitchen appliance was purchased in January with a 10year guarantee, however within 2 and a half months it stopped working completely, upon contact they offered to replace a lid, NOT the motor/power body (where the real issue lies) i refused the lid option offer - due to it being completely not relevant to the issue with power/motor.
Now the company is refusing to communicate, so writing a complaint to the person I've been trying to email many times, would not be effective. I want to return the defective appliance not have it repaired. i have a record of all communication w/ them
the only details they have about themselves is telephone, address, email. How can i find out to whom to escalate my concerns to?
It is a small company, not a large scale retailer
Thank you

You will need to post the name of the company concerned if you want people to see if they can find the address for you.
How much did the appliance cost and how did you pay for it?0 -

Read the following article.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/visa-mastercard-chargeback
I am not certain if you can make a chargeback claim for the item being defective. My reading is you can (as the item is less than 120 days old).
If that does not work then you may need to make a money claim online, which is more work (and involves some cost, which you should be able to reclaim if you win your case) and risk (you may lose or may not get paid even if you win if the other party has no assets).

what i meant about contact details, I tried to find somebody to contact to relay that I was sold a faulty item and that the company purchased from are not professional enough to deal with the issue.0

thank you, i shall look into this. 0 -
I think you need to read up on what your rights actually are, rather than what you think they should be. From what you've written in the OP you're not in a good position to do anything yet: they offered a repair and you declined it. If you don't give them an opportunity to put things right then you can't really complain.0

Bear in mind that they (the seller or their agent) are allowed ONE repair attempt. If that doesn't solve the problem then you're entitled to a refund; as the fault occurred within 6 months from purchase then a full refund would be due.
