Complaint with EE, overcharged for services I never knew I had bought

Dear all
I have been with EE for maybe 10 years. I have recently upgraded my phone and the EE employee in the shop told me I'm paying for a extra data sim £5 a month since 2014. I do not remember buying this, receiving it nor ever using it. They have charged me £5 a month since 2014. When ever I spoke to EE they have never mentioned I have this sim or that I don't use it. I have estimated I have been charged £180 since 2014 for this product.
I have called 150 they gave me 30 pound off my next bill and I have also complained to EE via resolver. EE have said they can not check records going back that long to see if I ever used the sim and that I should have check my bill.
The 30 pound was credited over the phone however via resolver EE are saying they are reoffering this 30 pound as a final offer. Does this mean if I don't accept finial offer they take away the 30 pound already credited to me?
Also can anyone help? Is it solely my fault for not checking my bill, I have to admit I have never noticed it on my bill. Please advise.

(Is it solely my fault for not checking my bill )

Yes who else should check .
You can buy stuff and never use it should the shopkeeper check with you every year that you have used all the tins of beans you bought .

Yes final settlement means if you refuse they wont pay the £30 .
  • Thank you for your quick reply. Can I just ask even though I never consented to buying the sim?
  • A pensioner friend of mine who has only spent90.00 in the last 15months according to their records went into the local shop for a 10.00 top up and came out with a 12 month contract at 9.99 per month which legally because she was in the shop could not cancel the direct debit..Luckily after numerous phone calls even to the manager who would not give me his name despite calling me his buddy, finally head office rescined and cancelled it.Should not have happened
