Help U Pay - Pinnacle Mortgage Protection

I have just read a review of the above product on another site which is one of the best buy's for payment protection via this site and this is what it said.
Good Points
Was the best deal at the time.
Bad Points
Changed their policy and premiums to suit them after 3 months.
General Comments
I took the salary protect policy from Pinnacle. Policy terms were £20.40 per month, (started Oct) with 120 day exclusion period and 30 day excess.
New terms, £31.44 per month, with 180 days exclusion, which means I now have an extra 2 months added to the initial period. So if I get made redundent in a months time I will not be covered. Also the 30 days excess has increased to 60.
I wonder if this is the norm with all policies?? Regardless, if I sign up for something how can such drastic changes be implemented like this.. crazy it is.
Lesson learnt, I'm cancelling ... advice is to stay away from Pinnacle.

Has anybody else had these experiences with Pinnacle?
