Siemens dryer doesnt dry - heat pump model wt45h200gb

Can anyone help me with a siemens heat pump dryer?

I bought a pricey heat pump model thinking ooo less power used, but didnt realise it was because it didnt work! It dryes clothes at the same speed as hanging them up in a warm room. The machine switches off before they are dry, and i usually swap something in or out to try and make it continue, not once but several times. Normally i do end up hanging the clothes up as well, as they are not dry.

It is easier to just to hang things up, but sometimes you really do need something quickly. (Haha)

2nd reason i went for this model was the 5 year guarantee. Silly me. A guarantee is kind of worthless if the product doesnt function in the first place.

Im a bit dense with appliances and paid for installation (this seems to be plugging it in!) but maybe there is a tweak or a reset that can be done?

I have contacted siemens 3 times, twice to ask about the problem (i got auto responses but no replies) and because of this, once to leave feedback on their website. This was deleted after a day with another auto response.

Im a bit confused as to why reviews of it are either same as me, or saying dryer is excellent !?! Yes i do de fluff after each cycle.
Any help appreciated.

Not been rude but I would get the instruction manual out & read it properly.
You have probably got it set at 'Iron Dry' not 'Cupboard Dry' or some similar setting.

I'm not familiar with that particular model, but have you checked that the fluff filter is clear, and that the condensed water reservoir isn't full ?

Hmm i did say i was a bit dense but i cant see any help. The iron dry/cupboard dry is a big button on the front. I use extra cupboard dry, but have tried everything.

I have a Miele heat pump dryer, they do take longer, but they use less energy. You must never interrupt the program as it works on assessing the moisture in the clothes inside the drum. By swapping things in and out (as you put it) you are stopping the machine calculating the moisture still in the clothes.

Read the manual. As with a washing machine, put items together in 'loads'. Do not overload and do not open until it is finished.

If you've bought a dryer that doesn't dry and you're sure it not user error then the solution is obvious. Send it back!!

If after reading the manual & following any advice here it still doesn't work as it should, get a man out. That's what the guarantee is for.

it does not say in the manual but check the sensor has not got a protective cover.
(page 31 shows where it is)

make sure the water container is empty and filters(both) are clean

Use the Cottons extra dry program.
    adjust dry level to 3.

turn on and leave till finished

should say program will be something like 3hr but depending how good you spin is should be done in less than 2 for a big load.

monitor the top row of the display it tells you the progress and what the sensor is detecting dry/iron/cupboard(page 20)

Thanks for posting GM4L, i wasnt actually going to come back to the website as there didnt seem to be any help.
The sensor just looks like a metal stripe and has no cover.
Water empty, 2 filters clean. I have been using level 3 and cotton cupboard dry, and always leave until finished = wet as anything.
It starts at 4hrs 15 ish, but doesnt run for that long. It pans across the display lights from left to right. I dont know what im looking for but there is no error message or anything.
I have found some programmes that work (yay!) like the WARM setting is on a timer, not sensor. Works fine.
So the dryer is ok, the sensor isnt, but i knew that already i guess.
    So i accept this or i don't.
I have read on other websites people getting siemens out to this machine (no idea how that happens, the wont respond to me) and being told the machine is not designed to get clothes completely dry.
