TA, I hope today goes as planned.

Tru, take care with your shoulder. One of DD's new ceilings was destroyed because the builders hadn't fitted the waste on the new bath properly!

I'm having a slow week because I finally succumbed to the chest infection I've been trying to fight off for the last few weeks. I'm on anti-biotics now and starting to feel better.
  • Morning everyone,

Feels like a Friday for me as I'm off tomorrow to travel up to Aviemore with the family.

Played football last night but legs were goosed from the gym earlier in the week so I didn't do too much running - getting to old for it now haha.

Tonight after work I'll be baking my empire biscuits (again, from scratch) and a sponge. Need to nip out at lunch and buy a packet of dolly mixtures as I prefer them to cherries. I'll also grab a bottle of wine for mothers day.

Not much else to report. Sad to heard the news about London, especially those kids who came over from France. Thoughts are with the families involved.

    Have a nice day :)

    Good morning OSers,
Have been caught up in the Debt-free diaries recently and haven't been on for a catch up for a while, always lurking about tho.

Prayers to all affected by yesterdays attack in London.

Not a lot to report here in HoneyBee land.
Just busy working and desperately saving all the pennies I can. We have booked a few nights away around Easter so looking forward to a break. Don't need to buy anything for the trip and we have been saving so nothing on credit card!
Hoping for a NSD today and tomorrow. Working until school run and the fridge is nicely full so I have no excuse to be popping to the shops, think I can squeeze one in on sunday too but we'll see.

YS burgers and HM potato wedges with salad for tea tonight. Tomorrow night I will do freezer pot luck as there is plenty there to be eaten up-might do spagetti and meatballs.

This has been a long month and still a week until payday, my belt is on the last hole! I really don't wanna take any cash out as I am trying to keep more in at the end of each month as it would look better when I apply for a morgage.

Time for a cuppa I think, its's pretty chilly here today.
    Take care all xx

    Afternoon all.
Been busy this morning, banking done and visited T*sco for essentials and some extra food for DGChildren ( I swear they have hollow legs :rotfl:) arriving tomorrow about 7.30am. Bed stripped and in the wash. Had a problem last night as DW had a light flashing saying check water. Cleaned out all the filters but light still on, so DH to the rescue, apparently the pipe fitting had dislodged at the back of the machine. OK now and on the plus side, I have cleaned the floor under the DW.
Having a quick cuppa then will remake the bed and sort out the crafting stuff ready for tomorrow. Was hoping for a dry day so we could picnic at the canal wharf but not holding my breath.
Tea tonight will be chicken stir fry.
Apologies for any spelling mistakes I seem to be dyslexic(sp ?) today
TA and MrTA I am with you in spirit and everything is crossed for good news.
    Tru :( for your leak.
Hugs to those that want/ need one and good vibrations to all.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently

Having a day of doing as little as possible today; I've been feeling the lupus-induced fatigue very badly of late, and we have tickets for the WNO production of La Boheme at MK Theatre tonight, so saving my spoons to be able to enjoy it. :o

Been watching a wood pigeon on the back lawn; he's found what looks like half a bread roll from somewhere, and has been making a proper meal of it. :D

Dins will be tagliatelle with onions, tinned toms and veg hot dogs; quick and easy to make. ;) Cherry'n'coconut cake by way of dessert. ;)

ETA: Update: A magpie has just swiped the remaining bit of bread roll off the pigeon.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

TA – hope all goes well for you and Mr TA today and that you get good news.

Such sad news from London yesterday; my thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

Weather here today is chilly but sunny and dry. Pity I didn’t have any washing to hang out. :(

Tonight’s dinner will be interesting – a UFO casserole; I think it might be chicken. Whatever, it will be just fine. :)

Oh tru – bad luck on the post-new ceiling leak! I think it’s something to do with sod’s law. Don’t be overdoing it and making your shoulder poorly again.

Judi – put your feet up and chill for a while.

Take care and have a peaceful evening.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.

Heck I've just woken up. I said I wasn't shifting. I didn't and have been asleep for nearly 2 hours. Still got my coat on.
