Just a quickie: I want to open a separate very basic bank account, will I need to be on the electoral roll? I have all the other ID required.

Most banks will try to check your ID & address electronically, with one of the checks being the Electoral Roll. So, it is easier for them - and for you, if you are on it. If you're not, then they will usually ask you to provide documentary evidence.
Any reason for not being on it?0 -
Thanks, only reason is I have just recently moved and not sure how long I will be at address.0

I moved house and notified them the following day, I received a letter with the date it would be updated...it was 2 months.0
