Cost hike

Hi.

How much does a insurance provider increase the policy cost following a claim? Cat has lifetime cover and this policy year will be a costly claim. I am assuming cat will be on meds for the remaining time left.

Insurance provider More Than premium cover .

    There is no standard amount.

One of my dog's cover reduced by £5 per month at the last renewal .

The other increased from £26 to £42 despite no claims.

Some companies do increase your premium if you make a claim, others e.g. Petplan do not.
