Meanwhile the Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Ekaterina Rozhkova has been insisting that the sale of Russian banks' subsidiaries is the best way to leave the Ukrainian market. At the same time she tries to convince customers that sanctioned banks are liquid and can meet their obligations.

It looks as though NBU has been aiming to buy those subsidiaries and nationalize them. Otherwise the wouldn't be so sure of that, would they?
Any thoughts on this sensitive matter and its consequences? Is it possible that Ukraine would make such a risky undertaking and nationalize subsidiaries of the former foreign partners? Also could some other foreign investors buy them out?

No thoughts whatsoever given that the number of people who use this forum and also bank in the Ukraine is likely to be extremely small (and I can confirm that I am not one of them).0

Hi. I read threads here from chance to chance. There is almost always some useful information here. 'No thoughts' is really very sad. This news is vital not only for Ukranians. Russkie had considerable financial business in Ukraine. Sberbank of Russia was the third largest in Europe until quite recently. It's been represented in 15 countries.
Buying its branch is an interesting idea. It would be vexing, and unfair, and illegal if NBU would manage to nationalize it. But this is one of the most possible scenarios. However, I've heard of several European groups set sights on former Russian banks. There is quite a possibility that some international corporations have designs upon them0 -
Oh damn there goes my rubles. I can't afford my Tula Honey Cake now

You've obviously got me confused with somebody who cares...0 -
They've banned the Russian entrant also from entering their country in the Eurovision this year.
It's all kicking off. I say... and grow up.0
