Charged twice for hotel room!

I believe what the poster in question is hinting at is that if you can't actually go into the hotel, contact them and ask them to retain the cctv footage from the date in question. ie you obviously have internet if you're posting on here so email them.

Its definitely only to your benefit to do this because as pointed out, they likely won't have it by the time you get back and not having that footage or a receipt will likely mean you being out of pocket since the burden would be on you to prove you did pay rather than on the hotel to prove you didnt.

As said above though, make sure the hotel is contacted and make it clear the nature of your complaint, WHY you can't visit in the next few weeks (honeymoon), and that you require the CCTV footage to be retained for review when you return.

I managed to get hold of the hotel during a stop over and they said they'd retain the footage from that morning until I got home.

I got an e-invoice through for the card payment on my room and one for the cash payment for the room next door (also in my name), one paid cash and one paid card but both clearly show payment for both rooms and the room service so I have proof now that there's been some sort of error and I've had 2 bills issued on one account.
