Amazon refund

I recently purchased a vacuum food sealer machine. I used it a few times and within 24 hours the bag had let out the air. I first emailed the seller, received no reply, so have arranged for it to be collected and returned. Unfortunately I do not have the original packaging. Will Amazon still accept it and refund me?

    It would depend, they may want to test it to make sure it is faulty. Were the bags used supplied with it or did you purchase them separately? Where on the bags was the "leak"? At the point that was sealed or in a different part?

    It's Amazon. Unless the customer has a history of dodgy returns they'll refund as soon as it is received, if not earlier. As long as the packaging is adequate that won't be a problem.

    I used the bags supplied and roll. I stored vegetables in the fridge and the next morning, air had got into the bags. I may as well have put them in plastic bags and tied the ends.


    I also froze some minced beef and mashed potatoes, but that was fine as I let it defrost overnight in the fridge and reheated in the microwave.


    This is the first time I have returned a product to Amazon, hence the question.


    I have packed it and it has just been collected, so I will see what happens.
  • Before I purchased this item, I did ask a question as most of the reviews were "professional". I received many replies from people who had the product giving it the thumbs up and tips, hence I purchased this on the strength of their replies. I also sent a message to the Seller explaining my problem but didn't receive a reply.
