G24 Meadowhall Centertainment

Just received a charge notice from G24, driver of my vehicle overstayed a trip to the retail side of centertainment after they parked there, then went to meadowhall and then came back to watch a film at cineworld. What should I do next and is it a viable option to ignore/tell them I'm not paying? Does this actually work for people?

alll explained in the IPC words of the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of this forum , please read it

bear in mind that G24 wont cancel no matter what is said, so dont reveal who was driving and DO complain to the landholder and try for a cancellation

it takes 6 years to determine if any of those strategies are "viable"

You should edit your post to remove any information about who parked. Only refer to The Driver and The Keeper.

The advice to ignore has not been given on this site since the law changed in 2012. In telling them you won't pay you may inadvertently give away the driver's details. That's why you should follow the advice above to read the NEWBIES thread and then send the IPC template you will find there.

  • Thank you, noted. I've emailed the land owner and will complete the IPC template. Can I ask what can happen if I do that?

G24 will just reject as they just want your money.

They will offer you an appeal to the IAS, which is a kangaroo court and they will reject any appeal as a matter of routine.

You then go into ignore mode - you will get ever more desperate sounding demands from debt recovery companies threatening to boil your cat or eat your children*, which you also ignore as they are powerless and cannot take you to court.

G24 then have 6 years to take you to court if they dare. You should not ignore any "letter before action", and definitely do not ignore Court papers (most likely from MCOL). If you get either of those, come back to this thread for further advice.

*I may be exaggerating a little bit...
  • And what are the odds that they will take me to court over it? Bare in mind I'm dealing with a £25 -+ £2.50 fee.

    Happy?!

It's ONLY G24, laugh at them like we have for a decade. No-one PAYS G24!

What fee are you talking about?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Charge for paying by card. But from that link I'd say I'm not all that worried anymore. Thank you.
