Parking eye fine

Hi,
Got a letter through the post this morning in the Mrs name from a firm called Parking eye with a fine of £100.00 but if paid within 14 days its half. Car park was in Bradford Foster Sq, max stay 3 hours but overstayed this. Firstly her name is spelt wrong. First names begins with a N not a M. It was my fault as I parked there and went shopping and then went for a coffee which took me a few hours over the 3 hours. Should I pay?
Thanks

Obviously not. I am female BTW and hate the term 'the Mrs' or 'the wife' (an object?!). Anyway that's as an aside because it read to me as derogatory.
The registered keeper appeals, as per the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' thread. NOT the driver.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone or say anything derogatory.
I had a look at the thread and to be honest was a little confused and that is why I created a thread. I understand I can appeal through Parking eye website. Just a little confused it what to say. I will have another look.
Thanks for the response0 -
there is a template in that thread, so you dont even have to make up an appeal, its not difficult to copy and paste0

I have had a look and will be sending the 1st appeal template online today. Got a bit confused with some of the wording used but managed to find the initial appeal. Will post back once I hear back from them.0

Not your fault, ParkingEye's fault.
Some MPs have realised how they ruin the reputation of the businesses where they act as parasites. PE were named and shamed in Parliament today and as it was in the House of Commons, in this particular debate, Lord Neuberger and cronies were not there to rescue PE:

The registered keeper wasn't the driver in your case, which can help the appeal as long as the keeper (your lady wife) appeals, not the driver. But was the PE PCN the one with the wording about the POFA and 'keeper liability' within 29 days, or was it one posted late, after 14 days?
Example of the best type of PE PCN is in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread. Do you have that golden ticket?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the reply. I received the notice within 14 days. I does have the wording POFA that the driver of the motor vehicle is required to pay this parking charge in full. As we do not know the drivers name or address. Then goes on to ask if you was not tell us the name of the driver. Next paragraph after 29 days if not paid in full and we do not know both the name and the address we have the right to recover the parking charge from you.0 -
Coupon-Mad, I get referred to as "the Mrs" all the time. I make like the Madagascar Penguins (just smile and wave).Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users.
