Parking Charge - Private Land

Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone can offer any advice.

Myself & my friend parked in Albert Street Car Park in Birmingham the other week (Private Car Park), which i paid for on my RingGo App. I extended our stay, and only when we we're returning I had realised i have purchased tickets for my own vehicle, rather then my friends (which was added onto my app ages ago).

The tickets cover the time that my friends car was their, but by error and a simple mistake the ticket was purchased for my car.

We have appealed the ticket, and explained what had happened, and that parking was paid for but just for a car that DIDN'T enter the car park (which they can check). They have come back to say the appeal has been refused and that we must pay the fine.

Is there a way i can get out of this? They have said i can't appeal to them again, but can go to the Independent Appeals Service?

Any help, or advice would be appreciated!!

Have you 'outed' yourself as the driver?

Appealing to Skippy at the IAS is not generally recommended.

Have a read through the Newbies thread.

That's good. Some people think you should try an IAS appeal, some think the opposite.
It is believed the IPC members are guaranteed an 80% rejection rate by the IAS. Personally I think it is much higher having seen the number of people who have tried and failed on here.

My advice would to be to ignore anything and everything from now on unless you or the registered keeper get real court papers.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

Yes, by beating them in court. Keep all evidence for months/years until you beat them. Excel are likely to get BW Legal to try a small claim but we've seen everyone win with all forum-assisted defences so far, for a year, as BW Legal are so bad!

    NONONONONO. A misnomer. Nope.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
