Apparently - MS made a major boo boo with the previous update and this update is to correct this mistake !

There's part of MS that seem to have completely lost the plot. Is anyone managing them?

Remember the Windows 10 updates are cumulative, if you go off and get it now it will only install what is needed so the full 1Gb update may not be needed for most people.

Yes - it only installs the files that are needed - but downloads the full 1Gb first !!

It must be popular - I kicked off the download maybe half an hour a go and it's sitting at 3% now. Maybe I shouldn't have turned off P2P updating - at this rate the next cockup will have arrived before this one has installed.

I really cba - I checked the reported bugs it's fixing and they don't impact me but I know I'll still be getting it and I'd rather control when. Still 3% btw.
