Best Joint Bank Account

Good evening

Me and the other half are soon to move into our first house together and have decided we are going to open up a joint bank account for our bills and savings. We will be keeping our existing ones running to pay for own leisure activities, such as me going to football. I have been doing some research and have seen that the Santander 123 account is good as it offers cash back but we will not have a great amount of savings early on so we will not be generating much interest, and then there's the £5 monthly fee too. Is this still the best account or is there another one more suited to us just wanting the account to be for bills and savings?

Whilst you were looking at the Santander 123 account did you not notice the Santander 123 Lite account? Seems ideal for your circumstances, ie you want some cashback but don't have any savings.

Others will no doubt be along shortly to advise against opening a joint account...just yet anyway. Unless you're already financially associated by other jointly held products such as mortgage or loan etc?

It will be a joint mortgage yeah so we will be financially associated that way. How does the Santander lite compare to NatWest?

    Which Natwest? Reward one.

Well, only you can compare because all depends on the amount of cashback vs the monthly fee. Do your maths.
