Advice Needed. Life Insurance and Ill Health

My daughter is now 18 months old and I feel that life insurance is something that I really need to sort but I'm having lots of problems. I have mobility issues and long term physical health issues which I expected to cause a problem but it doesn't, however my mental health does! I've been diagnosed with bi-polar and general anxiety disorder. I'm a recovered anorexic and have made numerous attempts to take my own life in the past. Things are very different now that I have my daughter and I am getting well but I cannot find any life insurance ! Can anybody help at all? I'm never going to be able to leave a chunk of anything behind for her as I struggle to work long hours but I don't want her to have to worry.

Thanks for reading

It might be worth speaking to a broker.
Depending on the details, there are possibly ways to get it through for you and possibly at normal rates, but it is unlikely you will be able to do this without the help of a broker.

I am assuming from what you say that you have been declined by the insurers you have approached and so you could try https://www.pulse-insurance.co.uk. Pulse specialise in cover for those struggling to find it.
    Good luck.

Just to update per Weighty below - you might be able to get cover but with your combination of conditions and suicide history. But, a specialist provider is needed (hence my suggestion of Pulse Insurance who help many who others have declined).

Yes, it will be more expensive for sure - but I think you know that. And some cover is better than none. As the distance in time from your past issues grows - you may be able to seek a premium reduction too.
I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.

Bipolar disorder can cause issues when trying to arrange cover, unless it has been completely stable with no major manic or depressive episodes for a significant period of time. It also depends on how result the anorexia was and whether any complications to your health has occurred due to this.

The mobility issue will simply compound the above 2 issues depending on the reason for the mobility problem and the extent of it. If you are reliant on things such as a mobility scooter/wheelchair to get around then I do think arranging cover will be quite difficult.

As ACG suggested, I do think it would be in your best interests to speak to a broker and ideally one who specialises in this areas. Unlike ACG, I don't think cover would be offered at the standard premium as conditions such as bipolar normally result in premium increases, if cover can be offered at all.
