If my car insurance runs out on the 30th of March 2017 do I put 31st or 30th of March 2017 as my start date on comparison sites?

Insurance usually starts and finishes at midnight so you will be insured for the whole of the 30th.
So if you are buying in advance then you will need the new policy to start on the 31st.0 -
takman is right - your policy schedule will usually actually tell you.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
