AVG and AVG PC TuneUp

I have both AVG and AVG Pc TuneUp.

I want to use Windows Defender instead of AVG but to keep using TuneUp.

When I try and uninstall AVG it tells me I have to uninstall TuneUp first.

Will I be able to uninstall TuneUp, uninstall AVG and then reinstall TuneUp

Advice would be appreciated.

Why do you want to keep TuneUp?

If you have Windows 10 then it does a decent job itself of keeping things optimised ... TuneUp in this case is really just snake oil.

TuneUp seems to be able to do several things, ie find duplicate files and shows problems that can be fixed.

If the general thought is that I don't need it then I will uninstall.

If you really want to keep it (as it sounds like you do have a use for it)
then you should be able to install it again once you have uninstalled AVG

Try CCleaner which can remove applications, find duplicates and generally clean up. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

In fact it will probably remove AVG & TuneUp
