This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks...
We're about to sell the house. There are a few issues you wouldn't see upon first inspection - eg, a massive hole in the carpet under the bed. Should we point these things out when people are looking around? We don't want to put anyone off immediately, but equally I want to be honest.

Unfortunately the MSE team can't always answer money moral dilemma questions as contributions are often emailed in or suggested in person. They are intended to be enjoyed as a point of debate and discussed at face value.

List the few issues and I'll answer the question, without knowing all the problems it's pointless.
    It's nothing , not nothink.

I'm noticing that that many of the things mentioned on this thread, including the original 'dilemma,' are not exactly deal-breakers either.

And in the final analysis, all live-in vendors can say, "What's the problem? We lived with it like that!"
Exactly. They're not buying a new-build. There will always be little bits and pieces. I prob have others I've forgotten about. So long as I'm not hiding a hole in a wall with furniture, or a dummy kitchen that's not connected to anything, it's surely not that big a deal...

Just makes it feel 'lived in' ;)

I didn't want to say anything, in case I was the only one thinking along those lines!

Reminds me of the woman who was very proud of replacing the 'dildo rails' in her 1930s semi.....

I had one woman take great pride in showing me her "glory hole"
