DLA to PIP payment day/week

Hey,

When changing from DLA to PIP did some have their payment dates or weeks changed? My PIP is to be paid a week later than my DLA usually is, meaning it will be on the same week as my ESA, which of course is fine in terms of monthly amounts but means I will just have to budget a little better in terms of spreading costs out. Also my letter says payment date is the Monday, I *think* it may have been the same for my DLA but payment always appears in my account on a Saturday anyway (Natwest).

My DLA was always paid on a Tuesday but my PIP is now being paid on a Monday.

PIP will always be paid on the same day of the week in each 4 week period.

Whether or not payments due on Monday appear on your statement over the weekend is up to your bank, and has nothing to do with DWP. Safer not to assume the money will always be there over the weekend if you risk running up bank charges. Payment isn't actually considered to be late unless it doesn't hit your account some time on the due date.
  • Thanks all, yeah I think the day is the same after all (due Monday, so will likely go into bank on Saturday). It's just the week that has changed for some reason, so they gave me like a week of DLA before I started on PIP>
