Zoosk Refund

A friend of mine signed up to Zoosk yesterday, and by selecting various options managed to buy a subscription for just shy of £130.
I have tonight, cancelled the subscription at her request and paused her account.
I have also emailed them on her behalf stating her various medical and psychiatric conditions, requesting a refund at their discretion (as their T&C's state no refunds).
If this fails, would she be covered under her debit (Visa Debit with NatWest) for £100 of what she paid?
I'm not sure how distance selling works with digital services, or how legal a "no refunds" policy actually is,
If she can claim through the card, what is the best procedure?

Usually as the service starts immediately she would be be entitled to a refund. Not sure about the £100 debit thing you speak about?
Anyway, if she has psychiatric issues which affect her ability to control her spending etc, that needs to be addressed in a permanent long term way. Just saying 'oh she has psychiatric issues' won't always wash with companies, otherwise anyone with regrets about buying a service or item would say that0 -

Neither am I.
That's because their T&Cs seem to be telling us Zoosk are based in USA and that California law applies.0 -
Even in the UK you give up cancellation rights if you accept the service to start immediately, this is all done in the UK's T&C's if served correctly, big companies get this right.
Coming from the USA makes it more difficult and you probably have no grounds for a chargeback if they refuse.0
