Pet Insurance - Dog Knee Ligaments

Hello
My dog pulled a knee ligament 3 months ago but he's fine now.
I'm looking to renew his insurance, do i need to let them know?
If it happens again, or worse he tears his knee ligament, will they consider it a pre-policy injury and refuse to pay out?
Where do i stand here please? I want to do the right thing.
Thanks.

Depends on whether you saw a Vet and therefore records will be available to be checked should you try to make a future claim.
If you think about this, if you had self diagnosed medical issues without ever seeing a Doctor, you would not disclose such issues on health insurance, because unless you are a Doctor, you are not qualified to make such an assessment. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
you will have to declare it if you saw the vet plus certainly in our case because muttley had one ligament repair his other leg is excluded by the new insurers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
