There are two cars in my household. I have legal with one of the cars and owner..does the other half need to buy legal for her car?

Your legal covers your policy and possibly you driving another vehicle.
If the other policy does not have legal then no they dont have cover.
There are places that will cover several vehicles.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Nobody ever NEEDS legal cover - and I'm not particularly convinced it's useful for anything more than a bit of gentle wallet-diversion.
Whether your cover covers your partner/their car... You're going to need to read the Ts & Cs for that. But, if it's come with your policy for your car, I strongly suspect that's the limit of the coverage.0 -

If you're in an accident that is someone else's fault you can use a no-win no-fee solicitor/claims company. They will only take on your case if you are 50%+ likely to win.
But if you read the terms and conditions of legal cover on your insurance it has the same opt out clause. They will only pursue claims they are likely to win.

thanks for all your comments..good or bad...thought I would add this into the mix... If I had legal assistance on my HOME insurance..does it cover my motor? (the bases of all the legal assistance on a motor vehicle insurance)smile everyday...cos its free
