    no, because it is a point of law. they can't offer to contract on the basis of hours. they have to provide total cost. see Consumer Contract Regulations 2013

    They can, they just need to explain how the bill will be calculated. If you are going to push this I would recommend you read the CCR's, and get a better understanding of them, the relevant sections have been quoted in this thread.

    You still haven't clarified if they gave you any paperwork when you dropped your car off, any terms and conditions, or if there were any clear signs in the garage?
