Maybe I can ask people to get me candles and smellies as gifts, they won't mind that surely!
I'm sure they won't at all. Now I have a better attitude with money:rolleyes: I'm much more grateful for presents - which is a good thing:D - as I'm quite stingy with myself now. I'm much more ready to suggest presents than say "oh just surprise me"...people are usually grateful (relieved!) for gift ideas...

Yes I usually suggest fancy shampoo/bath stuff as I usually only by supermarket own brand. If I get smellies they are a real treat for me as I am also stingy with myself. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hi smf and all
I haven't been on this *board* in ages, let alone this thread - and what a good idea is staring me in the face! Use the fancy candles instead of lights! There's only me in the house, no cats any more, and I like quite low level lighting anyway in the evening! My gas bill must be through the roof, as I'm feeling the cold badly in the evenings, but this is something I *can* do - and sort of declutter at the same time (I *live* to declutter!).
Thanks smf!!!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
