Candy washing machine!

Hi, I bought a Candy washing machine from Argos, online and paid for by credit card.

Delivered today but machine is not working, power is going into machine and digitals are lighting up but nothing else, also when switched off can still hear power running through machine.

Contacted Argos and best they can do is a collection and replacement Thursday 24th, I cant wait that long for a new machine is there any other option?

No scrubbing board by kitchen sink please!!!

Poor things trying to turn but locked solid? I can only imagine the noises its making.

Thursday 24th August? I'm not surprised you can't wait that long that is 5 months away!.

Argos won't have plumbed it in, this will be user error I expect.

I hope the OP doesn't do this with the replacement machine!

    OP read the instruction manual!

    Not always.
Any electrical item with windings (such as a transformer or motor) can produce an audible hum when powered and if the component or other steel items near by are loose or can flex, this hum will be more pronounced.

Thanks Shaun, that's exactly the sound, a sort of hum and when switched on to any programme it's the same sound and no movement, yes bolts were removed.

Well then, to answer your original question, you'll have to wait for Argos to exchange the machine. Do note that the 24th is a Friday, not Thursday...
