Euro Accounts

Hi All,

I'm British, I live in the UK and I'm going to be working in Belgium for 7 weeks from April. The organisation I'm working for will be paying me in Euros.

I'd like to avoid paying my fees into my UK based sterling account as the bank decides the exchange rate - and it is likely to be unfavourable.

What should I do to avoid paying too much money in bad interest rates and other fees? Are there any alternatives that let me pay euros in without shelling out?

Many thanks for any help.

Rich

Open a bank account to receive your pay in euros, in Belgium, France or Ireland (info in previous threads). Convert to pounds into your UK account at interbank rates using TransferWise (0.5% fee) or Revolut (no fee).
