Where have the last few weeks gone?! I've been so busy the last couple of months that I've not had chance to update anything. I'm leaving my job in 3 months so I've been studying/ doing courses/ sitting exams ready for my new job.

I don't actually have a new job yet so that is pretty scary, but I get paid by my current employer until the end of January. So I have a bit of time to find one.

I've had an awful couple of weeks in terms of stress and worry I've been dealing with something that happened to me as a child for 16 years, and I went to the police about it this week so it has been tough. I'm sure it will be for the best though. It's just another part of my 'road to freedom'.

In money news, the saving and mortgage payments have been going pretty well. I have around 2.5 months worth of pay saved and I have overpayed £440 so far this month, so that brings my total overpayments to £1237.39 since I moved in on 1st March.

I could pay more but I'm saving at the same time so it's hard. But I'm now in the £109k's!! Can't wait to get under 100k.

I am so excited today. I have just bought some tickets to see Ed Sheeran next year. I always end up missing out on the face value tickets and end up paying hundreds from third party sellers. But I set my alarm to get up for the release time and I managed to get 4 for my brother, his gf and my bf. so that's Christmas presents sorted.

It's not very MSE but I have wanted to see him live since his first album, so I think it's worth it

Today I am hoping to get some painting done in my house and then go to my dads for dinner, maybe a BBQ if the weather stays nice.

Good afternoon!

I'm currently lay on the sofa trying to find the courage to drive back to work. I work 4 hours (minimum) away from home so it's always a rubbish journey on a Sunday. I hate it.

I went to my dads yesterday and had a few drinks. Then I went for breakfast with my lovely friend who is pregnant I paid because I don't see her for months at a time and she has a whole other person to pay for now.

I can't wait to leave my job. 3.5 months and I'm free! I'll never have to do this journey ever again.

I live at my workplace through the week so I only get to spend weekends at home. In a few months I can go home every night of the week. I can't wait.

It's been an expensive couple of weeks!

I've just had to buy my car insurance for £620, added to the Ed Sheeran tickets is a lot of my money gone.

I've just created a SOA. I'll be honest, some of it I had to guess because since moving into my house, my spending has been erratic to say the least :rotfl:

Anyway I hope it will give me a better view on how to budget my money.

Wow, it’s been a long time since I posted!

I don’t know what happened but I’ve decided to start posting again to make myself accountable.

So, an update...
I left my job that I hated a year ago. I then found another job that pays £10k more pa and I get to go home every night
My BF moved into my place and now rents his place out.
We got a puppy!
Since owning the house, I’ve overpaid the mortgage by approx £4700. It now stands at £102000, down from £112500.
I’m remortgaging in January and reducing the term to 19 years.
