Hi

Can anyone advise me on carpets - I am looking to carpet my flat and dont understand if a mixed, 100% wool, 100% poly is better.

I've been to a few carpet places and not got any clearer.

Also been on the web and some say wool is better, some a mix and some say get 100% of one or the other - not a mix.

Any help would be appreciated.

In Showhomes we put a mix - usually 80/20% (80% wool that is) as it is harder wearing than 100% wool but is comfortable to walk on and looks good.

As mumoftwins suggests, the 80/20 wool content is the best one to go for for both durability & looks over the long term.

every so often they have a mad wednesday. special one day sales. open till very late. prices can be very cheap indeed.

used to think Carpetright was cheapest, but got better at Debenhams! also fitting is only £2.50 Psm!

ive no idea what they charge for fitting as ive never used that service.
