Council boundary issue.

    What department at the council has the letter come from? Have they said why they think they're entitled to ask you to reinstate the fence? i.e. is it to do with lack of planning permission, because they think you don't have access rights, because they think they own the fence, etc?

    Hi the letter is from a technical officer on behalf of asset management department to put back to original state, of which we do not know the original state.

    Why don't you just phone the letter writer and ask him/her to explain more fully or, preferably, come round and show you exactly what the problem is?
