Can anyone tell me why IF is so slow in moving money, even from the current a/c. why does it take usually a full 5 days, when for example A/L only take 3 days?, also is it usual to have to phone when moving more than about £4000?:o

I am so unimpressed with IF.
I find them:
slow (as OP says, just moving money between your own pots is painful)
unresponsive (even to simple requests for things like cheque books
miserly (ie no interest rate rise passed on at all at time of July BoE hike)
So why are we still with them?
We have an offset mortgage with them which works well and is just too much effort to move.
But for savings and current account, they are bobbins."Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0
