removing red algae marks from external render

I’m looking for the best way to clean the render on the outside of my house.

My house is 13 years old and the last year or so I have noticed more and more red marks appearing.

A few houses in the area had their exterior painted last year but I’ve noticed the marks are coming back through already.
I’ve been told this is algae and needs to be removed before painting.

Does anyone have any experience with removing these marks?
I’ve done quite a bit of research and it sounds as though bleach and a stiff brush will help or moss killer but looking for some 1st hand experience before I go up the ladder!

Thanks!
