Having problems with private tuition

If your son is benefitting from the classes I would overlook the few errors you mention. We all make mistakes (re the charging issue) and if a teacher cancels due to an emergency it can't be helped.
I think its probably natural that the owners would employ friends. I would if I knew they were qualified and trustworthy.
I'd say stick with it. If its for GCSE its not going to be forever.0 -
Like most private tuition, can't you send your son in with the required money to cover the cost of that particular lesson? No lesson, no fee and no overcharging. I've been a private tutor in the past and would only accept cash at the end of the session.
I would also wait around for 10 minutes or take your son in to check if the teacher arrives...it's not good though as if it was the other way round there would be a penalty no doubt. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
