    Have a read through here.

I dont understand the Harrahs surcharge, I have never paid one

Flamingo is one of my favs but that is for the pool and it will be to cold when you go.

If you want central strip there isnt any "bad" hotels

http://www.cheapovegas.com/index.php another good site for prices and insight
  • Avoid circus circus unless you have kids with you, the place is crawling with them.

    CC debt at 8/7/13 - £12,186.17
    Barclaycard £11,027.58
    Halifax £1,158.59
5 year plan to live unsecured debt free and move home
  • I went to Vegs in Nov/Dec two years ago and stayed at Ballys. Really good and not expensive (from memory it was about $50 per night)

It's in the middle of "the Strip" so easy to walk to most of the other Hotels, room was huge; 7' wide bed, two big sofas, TV, internet connection, marble bathroom. If you are lucky/pay extra you can get a view over the Strip.

Friend's stayed over the road at the Bellagio, which was about $200 per night for a room with views (and their room was much smaller than ours!)
  • will second Bally's. huge rooms but no theme. fab location. would go there again in a heartbeat. best location.

Venetian wonderful if you can go for it for a night or two.

Just stayed at Planet hollywood. Nice enough, but rooms not that big and the worst casino i have ever been in for finding your way through. got lost every time. will put me off going back there.
Blonde jokes are one-liners so men can remember them...;)
  • Please find where it states the $100 surcharge.

A $100 per day credit card deposit or $200 per stay cash or debit card deposit will be required at check in. Room charging privileges are enabled with a credit card deposit only.

We are paign a card so it would cost me an extra $900 dollars that is why we are not stopping at a harrahs hotel.

Hey I would love to stay here. I am flying to San Francisco next week and will be in Vegas on the 14th and 15th October. Ballys is showing $159 per night for those dates. Has anyone any ideas or discount codes to get it any cheaper please?
  • Stayed at Planet Hollywood in August (seems so long ago). Agree with Debs66 about casino layout. Overall good hotel if you get a newly refurbished room. Would stay there again with a good rate. Any centre strip hotel will be very good just trawl the net for best price. https://www.tripadvisor.com is a good place to start.

I see where it states that, it must be a new thing and would put most people off.

As I said i stayed at Flamingo in april and did not get charged any deposit.

www.lasvegastalk.com is a good place to ask about it as there are many locals use that forum

Have just checked on fatwallet and that is the going rate for those nights, you are to late for the best discounts which are normally available about 3 months in advance.

All this info can be found on the lasvegas thread on this forum that has been running for most of this year. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....html?t=338730
