Will acting as an indemnifier affect my credit score?

Hello,
I'm hoping to buy a new car though my company on a PCP plan.
The finance company have asked me to act as indemnifier.
I'm shortly applying for a new mortgage and I don't want anything to affect the amount I can borrow, does anyone know if this will show up on a credit check?
Thanks
MM
