You can ring them and ask , its always worth a try also try to blag them a little say something like if you cant lower it a bit im going to BT the lot , Ive done it with Barclays and it worked but never tried with my Halifax one card as its only 9.9%.
Good luck , let us know if it worked

Can you tell me how you got the reduction with Barclays interest rate (what reasons did you give why you wanted reduction) and what did they reduce it to? My Son tried this but was refused.0

it doesnt matter what u say to halifax, they have a procedure of what they drop it to. And in my experince its much better if you just say i really cant afford it, than be arsey and say ur going to BT it to another compnay, u will just come a cross as being rude and they might not help u out as much. If you want something off someone you need to be nice, not threatening i find.Halifax CC [STRIKE]£1322.88[/STRIKE] £0 :j 11.9% Virgin CC [STRIKE]£1534.76[/STRIKE] £1384.76 0% until AUG 13.
