Ideas for day out in London

We like to go on the Clipper - it's an open boat ride you pay with contactless/oystercard and can take you from Embankment up to the O2. From there, you can wander round the O2, or go on the cable cars over the Thames. You can get the tube back and mill around the area near the London eye.

BUT.. a trip to London isn't complete unless you've had a mooch around Covent garden. Avoid Leicester sq though as it is rubbish.

I agree, The clipper is great and well worth it. You see London from an entirely different perspective and see things you wouldn't normally, like the traitors gate at the tower of London. Some boats also have a little cafe on them so you grab a snack and a drink as you go along. Defiantly worth doing!

If you go to Covent Garden, the London transport museum is well worth a visit.
