House insurance - alternating claimants

My wife and I have been with Direct Line for a while. Last year I looked to see what difference it would make if my wife was policy holder - reduction of around £40 [presumably as treated as new policyholder] so we put it in my wife's name. Renewal just came through at £242. Just got quote in my name for £209. Seems a no-brainer, but anyone know of any downside to this annual name swap?

Hope you mean alternating policyholders rather than claimants.
Depending on the product, things like legal expenses and home emergency may have no cover for the first 14 days of a new policy.0
