Peer to peer lending for newbies

Is it best to stick to something like zopa or rate-setting or funding circle as an initial foray into this? Would just like a decent interest rate and to learn a bit more about this. I keep seeing able rite mentioned and assets capital but seen conflicting posts about this being good for newbies and saying it's a lot more…
