Hi DSM. Just found your diary and read the whole thing. You are doing so well. Sad to hear you are not feeling the best lately. Hope your spirits lift soon sending hugs from the other side of the world (Australia)0

Thanks both have some challenging days coming up in July and it's going to make me really but I don't want it to have an impact on me financially. I used to spend a lot before when I used to have bad days to cheer myself up. But will try to occupy myself a different way instead...
I may have a few changes in work too which will be positive news... just waiting for an email from my manager around it after I had a meeting. So fingers crossed. XBalance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500
1 Jan 2015 = £73,735 Overpayments = £3,360 (average £280 p/m)
1 Jan 2016 = £66,558 Overpayments = £4,770 (average £397.50 p/m)
1 Jan 2017 = £57,756 Overpayments so far Jan £0 Feb £550 Mar £3022 April £690 May £1513 total £57750 -
End of the month tomorrow so i will add up Junes figures
All this comes to £179.88!!! :T:T:T
1. Ebae earnings June £35.10 (9 items)!
2. Surveys/mystery shopping - (£0.50 can't cash this out so I won't count this in this month)
3. Interest/Cashback from 123 account - £11.56
4. Other cashback - £8.22 ( plus £6.60 which gets paid in July)
5. Savings from weekly budget - £55
6. Overtime in work £70
7. Other (£1.26 + £90 pending TCB won't count this until it's been paid)
Santander 5% regular saver will be paid in March 2018.(£64.33)
HSBC regular saver at 5% will be paid in May 2018. (£81.25)
EBae target £180/£180 for DDs swimming lessons until end of 2017!!complete!
Other target £221/£221(remaining overpayment figure for this year)
New target Overpayment to be paid 1st January 2018 £151.02/£3200 (up to end of June)
Current Mortgage end date August 2027
Original Mortgage end date December 2031
My new target for the second 6 months of 2017 is to get as close to £3200 as possible so that when 1st January 2018 comes around I will be able to max out my overpayment for the year. I have budgeted to save £1500 in my monthly budgets so anything extra I can make off ebae or surveys etc will be a bonus!
£3200 extra in 6 months is a little bit unrealistic but I am aiming high and will be happy even if I hit half the target. :rotfl:
Really happy that I've managed to save £55 overall from my weekly spending budgets and i havnt felt like ive gone without anything. Everytime I got something for free from anywhere I would send the value of it to my mortgage and I rounded up every purchase to the next pound too and sent the pence to my mortgage. It's amazing how much it's added up over the month!!
I hope I can keep this up for the next few months :rotfl:Balance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500
1 Jan 2015 = £73,735 Overpayments = £3,360 (average £280 p/m)

So since I have started this diary the extra money I have made other than my normal day to day income is
April £224.08 :j
May £221.48 :j
June £179.88 :j
Amazing how much a little bit of focus can do.
Not having to worry about where I am going to find money for her swimming lessons and knowing that once it's 2018 I will already have a chunk of money to throw at the mortgage again is a lovely thought.
Now I just have to make sure i don't lose focus! :rotfl:Balance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500

Yes, we do. A chance to reflect on what we achieved, even when we thought we weren't achieving anything. And a another opportunity to start afresh, to see what we can do with this amount of money for a whole new month. All positive!
Its a new dawn,
Its a new day,
It's a new life
