Win The Unknown Bridesmaid by Margaret Forster.
To celebrate the publication of How to Measure a Cow in paperback by Margaret Forster, we are offering Saga readers the chance to win all seventeen of Margaret’s novels currently published by Vintage.
Born in Carlisle, Margaret Forster was the author of many successful and acclaimed novels, including Georgy Girl (made into a film starring Lynn Redgrave), The Unknown Bridesmaid, Private Papers, Lady’s Maid and Have the Men Had Enough?
Endlessly intrigued by people, domestic and social dramas, Margaret found inspiration in real life and her subjects are as varied as illegitimate children, a husband killer, artists, poets, dementia sufferers, cancer ‘survivors’, writers, Quakers and biscuit makers.
Margaret lived in the Lake District and London with her husband, the writer Hunter Davies. She died in February 2016, just before her last novel was published.
