it sounds like it has locked out due to incorrect code entry. If I remember the philips systems displayed ERR when the wrong code was entered 10 times. I could be wrong, I know that every time a wrong code is input it locks the unit for a longer time before a new code can be entered. There are lots of decoders out there who will get it working for a tenner.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I'm slightly embarrassed to let on that I know this, but it used to be the case that if you put the unit into the freezer for 3-4 hours, it damaged the chip and you no longer needed to enter the code. If you can remove the unit from the car, it's worth trying, I guess.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

I might sound a bit thick here but when you say putting the unit in the freezer for a few hours used to work does that mean the full radio or just the part that comes away?:embarasse :female:0
